My experience writing blogs

Hi everybody! Today I’m going to talk to you about my experience using blogs at the English pre-intermediate level class. I think that the activities were really useful to learn more about English grammar and how to use words in their correct form and time. Also, I think that is really important to practice our writing ability, because in my opinion, is the most difficult of the four skills in English. (Listening, reading, writing and speaking).

I think that I have improved my abilities in English because of the blogs. I improved my grammar and also I use the words better.

The Blogs were the most interesting and fun activity in the class, because we could talk about different topics and the things we most like. The blog I really enjoyed (even more than the others) were the one we had to choose a picture, an important picture to us. I choose a photograph with my two best friends. I really miss them.

In a future, would be a good idea (in my opinion), writing blogs about what makes us happy or feel good, and another one about things that doesn’t makes us happy. It would be a good idea because we could think better about our personal lives and we could know what to do to change bad things that hurt us.

My favorite TV show

Hi people! Today, I’m going to write about my favorite TV show. It is called ´´friends’’. Is one of the most popular sitcoms that had been ever made in the United States.  Why I like it? Because each time I watch it, I laugh a lot and have a good time, clearing my mind.

My favorite character of this sitcom is Phoebe Buffay, because she is really stupid and she makes me laugh more than the other characters. 

The sitcom is about six friends, three guys (Ross Geller, Joey Tribbiani and Chandler Bing) and three girls (Rachel Green, Monica Geller and Phoebe Buffay) and their lives. They are almost always together; they go partying in group and have a lot of funny adventures together.

Rachel and Ross got married and had a child, Emma, but after a long relationship, they got divorced. Monica and Chandler also had a relationship, with highs and lows. Joey is a horrible actor (inside the sitcom) and Phoebe doesn’t have much luck in love.

The last episode was so horrible for me. I never thought that Rachel would leave her country and left their friends in the United States (she went to Paris, France, to stay and have a new life there). I was really sad after that ending lol. But I remembered all the good times that I spent watching that amazing tv show. :’)

Hi guys! Im going to talk to you about a really important jurist of the 20^th century: Hans Kelsen. He was born in Praga, Austria Hungary (in that moment) on October 11^th, 1881 and he died on April 19, 1973. His parents were Adolf Kelsen and Auguste Löwy. In 1884, his family and him, moved to Vienna, where he studied law (at the University of Vienna) and also he took a doctorate in law at the same University.

Why Hans Kelsen is important to our career? Because he invented a very famous Theory called ‘’Pure theory of law’’, which says that law has to be separate of any other social science or moral philosophy that is not inherent to law. Was a representative of the positivism, a doctrine that teaches law as an order created by humans (not by divine origin, as iusnaturalism representatives says), composed by objective rights.

I choose him because is a jurist, political and legal philosopher, that made a lot of contributions to the law science and to the legal system that is governing us at this moment.

Hi guys and girls! Today I'm going to write about my favorite song, which is the best song ever in my opinion (no, just kidding, but is awesome). It is called What you know by Northern Irish band Two door cinema club. It was realeased in their debut studio album ‘’Tourist History’’, (2010). Why is my favorite song? Because I really like the soundtrack! I think that is gorgeous! I also like the lyrics of the song, because is about a guy that want his girl back but she refuse to come back with him. It is not interesting but as I said before, I really enjoy listening the soundtrack of the song, is really happy and funny. It brings me good memories of my friends because they like the song too; we used to sing the song in classes last year and also in our free time lol. And that was the topic of this week guys/girls! A picture I really like :)

Hi guys and girls! Today I’m going to talk to you about one of my favorite pictures; it shows me and my best friends from Rancagua: Carla and Sofia. I really miss them and I haven't seen them in weeks because we are at the university. Sofia studies Graphic Design (the girl in the left) and Carla studies commercial engineering (the girl in the right). Sofia lives in Santiago at this moment, just like me. So I can see her more frequently that Carla, because she lives in Talca.

I don´t remember who took this photograph, maybe was Sofia´s mother, but I remember that was taken when we were finishing school. I like this picture because brings me good memories and very special moments to me. But I like this picture more because I’m with the best friends that someone could have <3.

PD: this weekend I will go to a party with them! So I’m really happy J.

Well, I want to start telling you that I'm Christian and all my family are Christians too. I think that my religion makes me better every day and helps me to improve as person, each day. I have many things to be thankful with God, because he gave me a beautiful family, good friend, opportunities to be better and specially for giving me the chance to live and do things for the world, to improve it.

I don't have any problem with people that have different opinion about this subject, I respect people that doesn't believe in God or have another religion, because there is no reason to not to respect the diversity. Each one decides what to do in their lives or what to think about the things they do.

Well, I hope I believe all my life in my religion, especially in God, because when I feel bad, I have another reason to turn good. And I think that’s all. lol

My favorite piece of technology

My favorite piece of technology is the smartphone, Why? Because in my opinion, is the best invention that have been created. You can do whatever you want with your smartphone, you can call people, message people, videochat with your friends and with your family when you are far from home, listen your favorite music and also playing really funny games! And the best part of this, is that you can do all of these things wherever you are!

Another interesting thing about the smartphones, is that you can download a lot of apps really useful, like the RAE dictionary (I use it everyday, because the is a lot of words that I don’t know) and Whatsapp (this is the app that I use more) which allows you to message people, sending pictures and recordings.

So, I think that I wouldn’t change my smartphone for anything, because is the technological piece that is the most useful to me.

This semester I’m taking the obligatory subjects and just two extracurricular subject: English III (pre-intermediate). I choose English because I really enjoy to learning languages and I want to improve my abilities in this language in particular, because is really important in the labor market.

Also I’m taking accounting classes, because I would love to work in the business market, I think that is really interesting.

What I expect from this new academic period, is to having good grades, passing all my subjects and also having good times with my friends, Study is important, but is not all to me. I love my university and that makes me feel happy and so glad.

My name is Ignacio Ramírez Rojas, I was born on Santiago the 15th of September of 1995. I lived there until I was 5 years old, with my parents Angélica and Tomás, my little brother Andrés and my older brother Tomás.
 Then i moved to Rancagua, Region del Libertador General Bernardo O'higgins and i lived there until march, 2014 . I studied in a school located in Rancagua centro, called Instituto O´higgins, since 3rd of march of 2002 until 15th of november of 2013.

At this moment, I’m living in Santiago again, because I came in to the Universidad de Chile, the best university of Chile (and I always wanted to came in to that university, so I´m really happy). 

I really enjoy to listening music, go out to parties with my friends, and having a good time with my family. I really miss my family at this moment, because they are in Rancagua, it's so close to Santiago, but i see them just on weekends. That´s all.
